In the dead zone we didn’t encounter eight-legged frogs, giant grown trees or mutant children. But the breathtaking silence was more we could have ever imagined for. It’s hard nót to make a fantasy out of this place.

Back home in Holland there was some extensive and outraged media coverage about the Ukrainian Government turning Chernobyl and its post-nuclear landscape into a hotspot for tourism. Having been there we know this was of course complete nonsense. In Kiev it was almost a mission impossible to find a travel-agency who could help us get into the restricted zone around Chernobyl.

Dr. Michio Kaku zum Urknall-Experiment‎ oder Fluxkompensator anyone?

Einfach grossartig, dieses Interview mit Dr. Michio Kaku, welchen ich doch äusserst schätze, so wie ich Fox eigentlich verachte, sind die Antworten zum Experiment mit dem «Large Hadron Collider», welches vor Tagen im LHC gemacht wurde, so treffend und wie weise, dass ich diesen Clip einfach hier in die Gruft stellen muss. So und nun geh ich mal in den Keller, meinen Fluxkompensator rausholen und bereite mich vor dem geistigen Auge auf den Angriff der Morlocks vor :)

Im Kurzfilm «Chump and Clump» sitzen zwei Jungs an einer Bushaltestelle fest, da sie leider knapp ihren Bus verfehlt haben. Dummerweise fährt dieser Bus nur einmal in der Wocheund so beschliessen die beiden, eine Woche zu warten. Warum einfach, wenn es auch umständlich geht? :)

Holz Terminator

Bei Worth1000 bin ich wieder mal über einen Wettbewerb gestolpert, der uns zeigt, wie es aussehen würde, wenn man statt des tatsächlich verwendeten Materials, Holz benutzen würde. Dabei ist u.a. dieser Terminator aus Holz entstanden, welchen ich absolut grossartig finde :)
