The Guardian hat einen spannenden Artikel über die Arbeit von Michal Kosinski und die Vorhersage von Persönlichkeits-Traits, sexuellen Präferenzen und politischem Wahlverhalten aus Daten der Gesichtserkennung verfasst: «Psychologist Michal Kosinski says artificial intelligence can detect your sexuality and politics just by looking at your face. What if he’s right?»
A growing proportion of human activities, from social interactions to entertainment to shopping, are now mediated by digital devices and services, creating an unprecedented number of digital footprints that can be used to reveal our intimate traits, emotions, and predict future behavior. Given the progress in Artificial Intelligence and computing, how can we prepare users, the public, and ourselves for this coming reality, and ensure that privacy will not only be reserved for the privileged few?
