DBD: Blutgott Blitzkrieg – Balgeroth

Debauchery’s Balgeroth nennen Motörhead, Judas Priest und Rammstein als ihre musikalischen Einflüsse. Diese Mixtur hört man in der Tat nicht allzu oft, sie ist jetzt aber dennoch nicht so einzigartig, wie man das vielleicht gerne gehabt hätte. Die Lyrics sind ganz klar Geschmacksache und wenn man solche Death-Metal-Lyrics mal in der eigenen Muttersprache hört, dann ist das einerseits teilweise schon etwas befremdlich bis peinlich. Doch wer Cannibal Corpse abfeiert, sollte Balgeroth aus den Texten keinen Strick drehen. Das Album «In der Hölle spricht man Deutsch» erschien 2018 und die Jungs sind am 14.11.2020 im Rahmen des Wolfsfest im Z7 in Pratteln…

Rettet den Zoo (2020) – Trailer

Die südkoreanische Familienkomödie «Rettet den Zoo» fühlt sich zwar insgesamt sehr «westlich» an, an Herzenswärme und Humor büßt er dadurch jedoch keineswegs ein. Weshalb es sich lohnt, einen Blick auf einen der ersten neu angekündigten Kinostarts nach der Corona-Krise zu riskieren.

Die Grundidee von «Rettet den Zoo» kommt einem extrem bekannt vor. Ein kalkulierender Geschäftsmann (oder irgendein anderer autoritär auftretender Zeitgenosse) nimmt sich einer auf seine eigenen Bedürfnisse abzielenden Aufgabe an, in diesem Fall der Rettung eines Zoos zwecks Weiterverkauf. Im Laufe der Zeit beginnt dieser Zeitgenosse allerdings, sich so sehr mit seiner neuen Aufgabe vertraut zu machen und die Menschen dahinter kennenzulernen, dass der ehrgeizige Geschäftsmann schliesslich doch noch sein Herz entdeckt und sich plötzlich weniger für seine Karriere denn vielmehr für das Projekt an sich interessiert. So gesehen etwa in «Sister Act», «Ich – Einfach und verbesserlich» oder «Highway to Hellas» – also quasi der ganzen Bandbreite an Komödien. Da sich auch «Rettet den Zoo» nahtlos in diese Aufzählung einreiht, ist der Überraschungseffekt innerhalb des Films gering. Und doch gestaltet Regisseur Jae-gon Son («Yicheungui akdang») den Weg zum vorhersehbaren Ziel äusserst unterhaltsam.

Denn anstatt wie in Filmen wie «Wir kaufen einen Zoo» oder anderen Vertretern der «Wir müssen auf Biegen und Brechen ein Etablissement wieder zum Laufen bringen»-Gattung lassen die Macher von «Rettet den Zoo» den dabei grundsätzlich durchklingenden dramatischen – oder eher: nostalgischen – Unterton aussen vor. Ihr Film ist eine durch und durch absurde Komödie und anstatt hier dabei zuzusehen, wie sich im Laufe der Geschichte sukzessive der Zustand des Zoos verbessert, setzen die Zooretter hier auf Menschen in Tierkostümen. Es geht also nicht darum, jeden Tag gebannt darauf zu warten, ob sich endlich ein Zuschauer in den Tierpark verirrt, sobald dieser wieder geöffnet ist, kommen die Besucher von ganz allein, sondern vielmehr darauf, ob der Schwindel auffliegt. Was nun wiederum wie eine ziemlich alberne Idee klingt, besitzt in der hier dargebotenen Aufmachung allerdings eine ungeahnte Aufrichtigkeit. Diverse herausragend-lustige Momente sind die Folge: Etwa, wenn ein kleines Besuchermädchen ihrer desinteressierten Mutter mitteilt, dass es sich bei den Tieren um Fakes handelt, diese der Äusserung ihres Kindes jedoch keinerlei Aufmerksamkeit schenkt. Oder sämtliche Szenen, in denen sich die kostümierten Menschen unbeobachtet fühlen, insbesondere das permanent auf dem Smartphone herumtippende Faultier zieht die Absurditätsschraube ordentlich an. Ein guter Einstieg in das Post-Corona-Kinojahr 2020, am 4. Juni soll der Film in unsere Kinos kommen…

Tae-soo träumt von einer Karriere in der Anwaltskanzlei, in der er seit Monaten als Assistent auf Probe nur Botengänge erledigen darf. Sein Wunsch scheint zum Greifen nah, als ihm sein Chef eines Tages eine gut bezahlte Festanstellung unter folgender Voraussetzung verspricht: Tae-soo soll innerhalb von nur drei Monaten einen kurz vor der Pleite stehenden Zoo wieder zum Laufen bringen, damit sich ein potenzieller Käufer finden lässt. Da der Zoo mittlerweile fast alle Tiere hat verkaufen müssen und so natürlich keine Besucher anlocken kann, kommt Tae-soo eine verrückte, aber geniale Idee: Die verbliebenen Angestellten sollen in lebensechten Kostümen selbst in die Rollen der Tiere schlüpfen! Der Plan könnte aufgehen, denn wer würde schon unechte Tiere in einem Zoo vermuten?
