The wait will soon be over and the start of the 7th season «The Walking Dead» is getting closer. We can look forward to a dramatic season that is all about Negan. This is also made clear by two new teaser trailers that focus on Negan's reign. The new episodes will start on FOX on October 24, 2016, either in German or in the original language.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7: Two new teasers with unseen scenes and new pictures

Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) remains the focus of the new video material - not only because all other scenes could reveal which character was (not) killed in the season 6 finale. In one of the last interviews about the new episodes, Greg Nicotero pointed out that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) was no longer the sole main character of the series. He has to share this place with Negan in season 7. This premonition leaves the viewer even after the most recent teasers that focus on the suppression of Negan. Negan may seem like a psychopath at first glance. Using the comic template, however, one gets a more complex picture of the leader of the Saviors. Negan is well aware of his charisma - he is charming, charismatic, disturbingly friendly and has both a high level of practical and emotional intelligence. Undoubtedly, he has an exceptionally strong personality that showrunner Robert Kirkman compared to an atomic bomb. And Negan knows exactly how to wrap people around his finger.

What is certain is that Negan is furious about the deceitful murder of his men by Rick's gang. During his minute-long monologue, however, he seems ice cold and incontrovertible, a passionate speaker who can always keep his emotions under control. This distinguishes the leader most clearly from retired Sheriff Rick Grimes. Negan delights in fear and takes time for his devilish appearance. So if you consider the complexity of the Negan dilemma, it is unlikely that even the slightest hint of a hint will appear in teasers or trailers. It is therefore obvious that harmless territory should be shown. The moving material will play in the Kingdom, Hilltop, Alexandria and the Saviors Base Camp in Sanctuary. It can be assumed that Carol and Morgan were brought to safety after the finale to the Kingdom and there from Negan. So we saw some of the residents of Kingdom who, unlike the Saviors, seem like peace-loving and helpful people. Maybe the possible love between Carol and Ezekiel also plays a role.

In addition, attentive fans have discovered another hostile group in the first video material for the new episodes that will make life difficult for the survivors. Can we look forward to more enemies from the comics in Season 7? Scenes in the trailer show a larger group of walkers, which at first glance differ from the typical, sometimes grotesquely disfigured zombies. If you look closely, it's almost like skinning real zombies to wear them like masks. For comic fans, it should be ringing now at the latest. In Robert Kirkman's cartoon «Walking Dead», there is a group who do exactly this in order to move unnoticed among the undead. The so-called "Whisperers" pose a great threat to the survivors in the comics and kill numerous people, including two main characters. If you look at the relevant scenes, the zombies shown there really bear a striking resemblance to the «Whisperers» in the comics. They seem to stumble upon Tara and Heath, who haven't noticed Negan's psychological terror and are still looking for supplies. In the trailer we see the two fighting the (supposed?) undead.

But what's next for Heath (Corey Hawkins) and Tara (Alanna Masterson) in their own adventure? After the murder of a group of Saviors, they separated from the rest of the squad and the two have no idea what has happened in Alexandria since their absence. They left Rick's group believing the Saviors were defeated. In the Season 7 trailer, we see dramatic situations in which the two not only have to contend with a horde of zombies, but also with another, hostile group of survivors. This also seems to include a new character, Jennie, at least that's what she is called in the casting application, is obviously one of the people that Tara and Heath come across in their search. The young newcomer is played by 18-year-old Syndey Park. As "The Spoiling Dead Fans" reports, the group should consist mainly of women and children. Tara will first encounter this group in Season 6 Episode 7.

The Walking Dead: What to expect in Season 7 - trailer and pictures

In order to receive filming permission for Jekyll Island (read more here), information about the scenes had to be submitted in advance. "The Spoiling Dead Fans" has come into possession, giving us a closer look at what's happening on the island. Accordingly, Jennie and an as yet unknown female companion find a human body half buried. Not far away, they finally discover another person who has washed up on the beach and is still alive. This is Tara! The two women pull Tara out of the water, presumably saving her life. When they are momentarily distracted, Tara takes the opportunity to flee. Zombies and the beach - one or the other inevitably thinks of «Fear the Walking Dead». Apparently AMC got a taste for wobbling undead with a sea backdrop, because now the "TWD" characters are allowed to leave the forests of Georgia behind. So far, not too much is known about the scenes that await us there. At least we can look forward to a change of location in the new episodes.

The Walking Dead: What to expect in Season 7 - trailer and pictures

For the first time in The Walking Dead history, Season 7 will have 20 main characters. Death is omnipresent in the series and actually it almost feels like the series of main characters is getting smaller and smaller. In fact, the series has a total of 16 main characters, including Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). Season 7 is about to get even bigger, four characters who previously had minor appearances have been promoted and will get more playing time in the new episodes. It's no surprise that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is one of them. After all, he becomes Rick's antagonist from season 7 onwards. In addition to Negan, we'll also be seeing more of Jesus (Tom Payne), Dwight (Austin Amelio), and Hilltop leader Gregory (Xander Berkeley) in October. In order to continue to bring fresh wind into the story of «The Walking Dead», we can look forward to new locations and characters in the 7th season.

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it.
