The Irish animated film "Wolfwalkers" was directed by Tomm Moore, who made his directorial debut with "The Secret of Kells" (2009) and let this film follow "The Melody of the Sea" in 2014. Along with his co-director Ross Stewart, Moore also directed a single segment on the animated film The Prophet (2014). Wolfwalkers is set in a time when magic and superstition are influencing the world in equal parts. Wolves are considered demons at this point and nature is something that must be subjugated by man. At least that's what Robyn's father, a hunter who comes to Ireland to exterminate the last pack of wolves, believes. But then his daughter saves the life of a local girl, little Mebh, and befriends the red-haired tomboy. As a friendship blossoms between the girls, Robyn learns about the world of the Wolfwalkers - the people who can transform into wolves and who stand up for everything her father hates and has sworn to destroy...
