After we got to Hilltop in the previous episode of the 6th season "The Walking Dead", there could already be a big clash of communities in episode 12 "Tomorrow Not Yet". Alexandria goes to war against Negan and the Saviors! It's over with Love, Peace & Harmony in Alexandria! But see the promo and sneak peak videos for yourself here!
In episode 11 of season 6 «The Walking Dead», Jesus promised the people of Alexandria: «The world is going to get a whole lot bigger». But "bigger" in the zombie apocalypse also means more dangerous! And not only because of the danger posed by the walkers, but above all because the anarchic conditions ensure that many people try to seize power - and if necessary with violence. Last episode we got to know Gregory, the sleazy leader of Hilltop, and this is one such case. But he too is ruled by a nasty blackmailer gang and their brutal boss. We're talking about Negan and his Saviors! Your message to Hilltop was tantamount to a declaration of war in «The Next World», which Rick & Co. were only too happy to use for a very special kind of deal: you give us food, we protect you from the villain and his foot soldiers.
And so Rick and his crew are going back to Alexandria, but not to continue to enjoy the fragile, newly won normality there, but to prepare for the big "clash of the communities", which was already teased a long time ago. Accordingly, Rick also gives an emotional speech to his people:
We can work with the people at Hilltop. Maggie has negotiated a deal. We get food, eggs, butter, fresh vegetables ... But they don't give it to us for free. Those Saviors - they nearly killed Sasha, Daryl, and Abraham on the way. Sooner or later they would have found us. Just like the Wolves, or like Jesus. They would kill people of ours and try to subdue us. And we wouldn't be able to stop them. And then, we might lose in this struggle for scarce food. The only option we have is to win. We have to win. We do this for the Hilltop people. Because only in this way can we preserve this place here, only in this way can we protect this place. But we need a group decision. So if anyone objects, this is their option.
We see Rick's address in the church and the concerned faces of Carol, Morgan, Aaron, Father Gabriel and the other residents of Alexandria. Will they agree to Rick's proposal? So far they have not been known as fighters. But even pacifist Morgan is an uncertain variable. He closes his eyes in resignation, will he perhaps leave Alexandria again? In the background we see images of strategic plans, scenes showing Michonne, Glenn, Carol and the others heading out into the big wide world, weapons en masse - the lull lasted a full 1 1/2 episodes before we shall see now , how our zombie apocalypse survivors must set out on a battle. And it will be a real fight for survival - that's for sure! Maggie certainly won't be wrong in her assessment of "It's going to cost us a lot!", which she uttered in Hilltop...
Another video shows that Carol and Maggie were kidnapped. As Rick is informed over a walkie-talkie, the two are in the control of Negan's people. Before that, Carol can be seen, who meets Maggie and yells at her why she is outside. It seems that Carol is very afraid for Maggie and her unborn baby. So far it is unclear whether the video is real or a fake. One thing is certain: it causes a lot of unrest among the fans. Is one of them already dying at Negan's hand? For Carol's death, spoilers from later episodes would suggest that Daryl is on a vengeance campaign. Allegedly he wants to kill Negan on his own. The most important questions before the 12th episode could now be not only how the residents will fare in this war, but also how the individual actors from Alexandria will behave ...
