John Carpenter and David Gorden Green let the new film tie in directly with the 1978 original. The old sequels are ignored, which annoys many long-time fans a bit pissed off. In fact, this should benefit the simply “Halloween” finale of the horror saga, because unlike in the predecessors Michael is now more tangible and also visibly aged, as is Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis, who is Laurie Strode one last Times with the murderous giant. Judy Greer plays her daughter Karen Strode, while newcomer Andi Matichak plays her niece. She and her high school friends, including Virginia Gardner (Project Almanac), Miles Robbins (Mozart in the Jungle), Dylan Arnold and Drew Scheid (Stranger Things, War with Grandpa), should be the focus of the upcoming film, that of Gordon Green and his comedy colleague Danny McBride was put on paper. This Halloween the horror returns when Michael Myers escapes from prison and sets out to finally complete his work.
Did you know that even a little detour can lead to life imprisonment?
