Finally it continues! 20th Century Fox has released a first short teaser. It's relatively meaningless, but interestingly done. There we see a picture of the snowy monkey Caesar and hear his voice offscreen. He speaks the words that he says to Jason Clarke's Malcom at the end of the second part. A warning about the war between apes and humans. After the battles in part 2 “Planet of the Apes: Revolution,” the apes and their leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) go to war against an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson). The monkeys suffer heavy losses in the fighting and Caesar falls into a crisis of meaning. Torn between two worlds, he embarks on a journey in which he is confronted with his darkest instincts. His journey leads the monkey to a final confrontation with the Colonel and an epic battle begins that will decide the future of the entire planet. Director Matt Reeves already directed the second part of the series. Reeves also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Mark Bomback. As in the other two parts of the prequel, Andy Serkis was able to play the role of Caesar. The cinema release in this country is expected to be August 3, 2017.
