Will Lemke has 2011 two weeks pushed with his film colleagues 12-hour shifts, to this little masterpiece(hand)factory produce. Unfortunately, there was nothing at that time with the publication, which is why he now has just pushed it a try on his Youtube channel.

10-15,000 hex nuts, animated in one contiguous shot.

No computer generated graphics, only frame by frame stop-motion…we pushed these hex nuts around for 2 weeks, 12hrs a day. Hard, tedious work, but with fun results!

The animation is a followup to a viral campaign I directed in 2011…but unfortunately it was never released. I’m sharing it for my portfolio a few years later, as my original »director’s cut«
