In the Orthodox Church, celibacy is restricted. Bishops and monks commit themselves to celibacy. Priests unmarried at the time of ordination do the same. However, there is no fundamental vow of celibacy. However, homosexuality is not only a topic that is swept under the carpet and considered taboo in the Catholic Church. To draw attention to the issue, Orthodox priests in Eastern Europe and Russia have campaigned for the «Orthodox Calendar» teamed up and dropped the covers. In a rather unorthodox way, the priests pictured want to protest against homophobia in the church. However, a political motivation cannot be ruled out, after all a picture of Putin had to be used for the calendar. First published for the year 2012, there is now for the second time a naked priest calendar for 2017...

I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever
