This year, for the first time in history, Pixar is releasing two films in one year. In addition to “Inside Out”, November 26th will take you back to the time of the dinosaurs. “The Good Dinosaur” in which the film raises the following thesis:
The Good Dinosaur asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
While Pixar films somehow always use a more realistic setting, the aim here is to open the can of the alternative past. Mainly because the dinosaurs died out almost 65 million years ago, but the first human-like beings did not appear until 20 million years ago. It will probably be a creationist film in which all species simply lived at the same time. Cool too.
