There is now a new, stylish trailer for the next Star Trek by Justin Lin (Fast and Furious). JJ Abrams, director of the first two films of the "Star Trek" reboot - and also the last "Star Wars" film - acted only as a producer on "Beyond". The trailer promises respectable action sequences, although I don't think a motorcycle really fits. Well. Those little Enterprise shredding things are pretty cool though. The first original Star Trek wasn't that great either, actually. Anyway, the trailer looks fun, theatrical release is July 21st, will be checked!
“Star Trek Beyond,” the highly anticipated next installment in the globally popular Star Trek franchise, created by Gene Roddenberry and reintroduced by JJ Abrams in 2009, returns with director Justin Lin (“The Fast and the Furious” franchise) at the helm of this epic voyage of the USS Enterprise and her intrepid crew. In “Beyond,” the Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.
