It's all very colorful, very chic - a very intelligently made PR campaign. The only problem is, the turntable rockers are mostly getting on in years. You don't really like it when they move to the beat or dutifully recite their memorized texts.
In the refrain, the employees of the control authority sing: "Get connected worldwide, rock on!". And that's where the dog is buried. Singapore is light years away from an unrestricted global exchange of information. The import of foreign periodicals is subject to government import restrictions. Loud Wikipedia Private ownership of satellite dishes is prohibited. International channels such as Deutsche Welle, BBC, CNN etc. can only be received via cable. All other content, whether printed or online, is also subject to censorship. As recently as April last year, Balaji Sadasivan, a leading minister, warned against conducting "dangerous discussions" online. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever
