This documentary shows us the beginnings of the women's movement, whereby these were of course mainly in the US&A, which is why this documentary practically only illuminates this country. Perhaps in the whole of the feminism debates it is important to look back again to see what the origins and reasons of feminism actually were. So maybe you could better estimate where the whole thing should go ...
SHE'S BEAUTIFUL WHEN SHE'S ANGRY resurrects the buried history of the outrageous, often brilliant women who founded the modern women's movement from 1966 to 1971. SHE'S BEAUTIFUL takes us from the founding of NOW, with ladies in hats and gloves, to the emergence of more radical factions of women's liberation; from intellectuals like Kate Millett to the street theatrics of WITCH (Women's International Conspiracy from Hell!). It does not shy away from controversies over race, sexual preference and leadership that arose in the women's movement, and brilliantly captures the spirit of the time - thrilling, scandalous, and often hilarious.
The problem with this film is that it is only shown in the US&A on various occasions, the dates of which can be found on the Page to the film Can be found. Unfortunately, it is not yet known whether and how it will be published differently.
