The Summer Olympics will take place in London from July 27th to August 12th. Whether you're a sprinter, cyclist or swimmer: if you want to be fast at the London 2012 Olympic Games, go for hair-free clothing because it reduces resistance. Everyone wants to do their best in competition and win a medal if possible. The Braun company is taking this as an opportunity to launch a sporty special edition of its "Series 3 350CC" shaver. This includes not only a correspondingly athletic packaging, but also a case made of genuine leather.
Shaving can be a daily ritual or annoyance for a man; the razor that is used usually makes the difference. As a convinced wet shaver, I tested the Braun Series 3 350CC and here is my review. The razor is extremely handy and really quiet. The shave is very gentle and thorough. I have not suffered any skin irritation in the past few weeks. So I am already satisfied with the handling and the comfort of this razor. What is particularly important to me with a razor is, on the one hand, consistently good shaving performance and, on the other hand, the battery charging time, as I often forget to plug the device in for charging.
Both are absolutely true with the Braun Series 3 350CC. With the Triple Action Free Float System, a system in which three independently acting blades inside the shaving head can grasp more hair in one stroke, the shaving time is much shorter than expected, because significantly fewer strokes are required to shave . The charging behavior of the Braun Series 3 350CC can also be viewed as positive, because the Braun Series 45 3CC only needs one hour of charging time to be able to shave continuously for 350 minutes.
The razor provides information about the charge level, the next cleaning and even when it is best to change the shaving system via LEDs. And when you are traveling and logically you don't have the cleaning station with you, the razor can be cleaned under running water. The long hair trimmer integrated in the Braun Series 3 350CC also turned out to be positive, it is ideal for shortening sideburns or removing hair that has stayed. The long hair trimmer of the Braun Series 3 350CC can only show weaknesses in the chin area.
At first glance, the cleaning system appears a bit bulky and the cartridges are expensive. The cleaning in the device takes place automatically, as soon as the razor is inserted into the holder and the button on the top is pressed, the entire cleaning takes place without intervention. The razor head is rinsed and the razor runs sporadically. Everything controlled by the cleaning kit. Since the stubble can easily be knocked out of the shave, I limit the cleaning processes to the necessary charging cycles so that the consumption of cleaning fluid is kept within limits. Unless the control lamp for the cleaning process lights up. On the front of the shaver there are three light diodes that indicate the charge status in normal use, a charge control and the need to clean the device. A cleaning process, together with the drying of the head, takes about 4 hours.
Advantages:
- Ergonomic shape
- Integrated cleaning function
- Easy to change cleaning cartridges
- The shaving head can be changed easily
- Optimally adapted charging function
- Excellent shaving result
- Extensive accessories
- Integrated country hair clipper
Disadvantages:
- Long hair trimmers can weaken the chin and neck area
- The cleaning process can leave residues of the liquid on the shaving head
And finally ... Thanks to its well thought-out shape and functions, the Braun Series 3 350CC can score points with me personally. This men's shaver impresses with its easy cleaning, its excellent results and the short charging time. Of course, the Braun Series 3 350CC does not overcome all the weaknesses of the razor genre, but it comes very close to the optimum. If you are looking for a good and really quiet shaver that is easy to clean and can be charged within 5 minutes if necessary, you should take a closer look at the Braun Series 3. Otherwise, I only noticed that the Braun Series 3 350CC can have some difficulties with a three-day beard in the chin and neck regions. These areas then have to be shaved two or three times, but I did not find this to be a negative thing, as this problem is widespread in the razor genre.
