With the film "Paul Watson Confessions of an Ecoterrorist" animal rights activist and filmmaker Peter Brown gives a direct insight into the life of animal rights activists on the high seas and shows the fight of the radical groups Sea Shepherd Conservation Society against the brutal and often illegal slaughter of animals in and around the world's oceans under the leadership of well-known activist Paul Watson. The crew members sail the seven seas under their version of the skull and crossbones flag and often fight against the animal catchers in very unorthodox ways. From playing whale songs to ramming the ship directly, the activists will stop at nothing. With sometimes a lot of humour, Brown shows everyday life and the difficulties that animal rights activists have to contend with.
