Highland Film Group and Arrowstorm Entertainment are currently working on an independent project called Osombie, which will be partially funded by fans. over Kickstarter.com Film fans willing to pay can make a donation to the team around director and producer John Lyde, who have set themselves the goal of raising 30.000 US dollars so that the film can be made the way the makers imagine it.
The project is currently in post-processing and should celebrate its premiere next year, provided that everything goes well. Of course, the film doesn't take itself that seriously. As the title of the film suggests, it is about zombies and Osama Bin Laden. A yoga trainer named Dusty from Colorado tries to save her freaky brother, who thinks Osama bin Laden is still alive. As a result, Dusty joins a NATO force and invades Afghanistan together with them. There it turns out that her brother is not that crazy: Osama bin Laden returns as a zombie and breeds his own zombie army.
Sure, "Osombie" is a trashy horror film that definitely leans towards "Dead Snow" or "The Dead". But the creators try to reach a certain level and above all to provide humor. Violence, madness, weapons, and even discussions about Pokemon await us here. This is how the makers describe their work. But there is already a first trailer and the whole thing looks damn good...
