Now, for the third time, I am allowed to publish a small test report here in the crypt as part of the «official Braun tester». This time I received a package with a Gillette Fusion Gamer and Gillette Skin Care, which according to the manufacturer should harmonize perfectly with the Gillette wet shaves and shaving gels. But apart from confusion, a bit of scrubbing and balm, there is nothing really new for me to gain from the matter, so that shaving is hardly a new experience.

Gillette Fusion GamerFor a few days now I have been using the received products, so I actually feel empowered to carve this review into the crypt here. The whole said package consists of:

  • 1 tube of Gillette cleansing gel
  • 1 tube of Gillette peeling
  • 1 can of shaving gel for sensitive skin

for use before and after shaving

  • 1 tube of Gillette aftershave balm with aloe vera
  • 1 tube of moisturizer
  • 1 tube of aftershave gel
  • 1 tube of aftershave balm

There was also a Gillette Fusion Gamer razor with five blades and a battery-operated vibrator, which is actually no different from the one I have already tested Gillette Fusion Phenom Power found, except that he is white. As I did then, I still wonder what a vibrator is doing in the razor? I had put the part aside at the time, because with me any vibration is simply more of a hindrance than beneficial to shaving. Every morning, with my eyes barely open, it is enough for me to keep my stupid hands in check during such actions :)

So I switched off the Vibi and still have to note here that the thing or the handle is a little too bulky for me - logical, because the battery is in there for the great vibra function - and so I have it back on Gillette Fusion Phenomenon if you resorted to, he shaves without any tremors - that comes by itself soon enough - perfectly. - Although I have to admit that five blades don't really achieve a better result than two, because in the meantime I've shied away from the price of over 40 francs, for the five-ringed Phenom and so on the proven sensor from the same company. The blades are there too orexpensive, but still only half the price of the test razor on hand. If you want to read more about my razor test, I refer you to my post «Get rid of the beard - Gillette Fusion Phenom«. I've always found Gillette's shaving gel to be pleasant and actually use it anyway. I can't really say what's new about this version - but I'm probably simply not competent enough to be able to judge this. That's fine.

Gillette Researcher? Now comes the moment when little Draven was a bit overwhelmed to classify which tube should be used when... Because Gillette, with divine foresight, designed the tubes practically the same, slightly different in size, but practically identical in color and graphics and therefore hardly open distinguish them from each other at first glance. It's a pity, nobody in Gillette's marketing department has set a monument for themselves and I strongly advise, if you're already launching such products, to change the tube design into something practical for men, to-take-out-the-eye-slits-in-the-morning-twilight-early-morning- look to choose a design, otherwise the tubes will quickly gather dust. Because in the long run, no man does this to himself every morning to check what's on the label. At least not me. But I probably just don't correspond to the average researcher at Gillette, who have accumulated knowledge over decades and say of themselves “We are familiar with the needs of male skin. After all, we have been dealing with this topic for more than 100 years. Today almost 600 million men shave with our products every day – we are proud of this trust.” So, what is kleen Draven messing around with? 600 million can't be wrong - or are they more likely to use the wet razors and shaving gels that Gillette has been launching for ages than the new creams that have been launched on the market? - I ask too much...

The pre-shave cleansing gel is designed to remove dirt and excess sebum so nothing can interfere with a close shave. So there is no soap included and the skin is not dried out. The cleaning gel doesn't really suit me personally. I don't like it when after washing up you feel like you've got a thick layer of construction foam on your cheeks. The peeling with its micro pearls - this feels like fine sandpaper on the skin - gently removes the sebum and dead skin cells, ensures a fresh complexion and really leaves a very pleasant feeling of thorough cleaning.

Regarding after the shave, I have to start by saying that I basically don't like creams, ointments and the like that leave the feeling of not being properly absorbed into the skin and form a slippery, creamy "protective layer" for a long time. Bruuäääh * shake * For this reason, only the Gillette Series After Shave Gel left a reasonably satisfactory impression, with all other creams I didn't like the same feeling of a cream at all. But I probably just don't correspond to the average man of the researchers at Gillette who have accumulated knowledge over decades ...

Gillette SkinCareAccording to the manufacturer, the Gillette Series Moisturizing Cream with Aloe Vera should reduce the feeling of tension after shaving and be absorbed quickly and not oily. Yes and greasy, what else could a moisturizer need? The Gillette Series moisturizer with sun protection factor 15 also protects against UV rays and the resulting skin aging. Again, I'll just say: moisturizer! The Gillette Series After Shave Balm is said to soothe the skin after shaving, absorb it quickly and provide intensive moisture. The latter in particular did not suit me here at all. The final product is the Gillette Series After Shave Gel. This gel is quickly absorbed by the skin and (finally) definitely not greasy. It cools and soothes the skin and makes for a pleasant feeling of freshness.

Conclusion: Vibration does nothing, the razor itself is actually only interesting from a visual point of view, as it is simply too expensive to maintain. The shaving gel fits, as always, and the entire collection of tubes – cleaning products are available from CHF 6.50 and care products from CHF 7.60 – is more for the “modern” man who has already filled the bathroom with cream pots, the Braun weekly bodycruZer Full body shave indulges (my test by the way here) and stand in the bathroom for an hour every morning to touch up all corners and edges. From my point of view, this is not for real guys, i.e. real men, but the scent is very refreshing and I probably just don't correspond to the average man among researchers at Gillette, who have gathered knowledge over decades ... :)

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. However, you are welcome to simply copy and distribute the content, my blog has always been under the WTFPL license.

It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
