Mad Max: Fury Road Poster

Only the crazy survive! As part of San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. has released new posters for «Mad Max: Fury Road». One of the posters reveals a close connection to the very first Mad Max film in the series. As we all know, the Mad Max movies are set in a post-apocalyptic future where humanity is struggling to survive. Meanwhile, two fleeing rebels try to restore order. Max (Tom Hardy), a man of action and few words, who seeks nothing but peace after the tragic loss of his wife and child. And Empress Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival lies across the desert, in the home of her childhood.

Obviously Fury Road has a strong connection to the first Mad Max flick from 1979, because while the first three posters featured world stars Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises), Charlize Theron (A Million Ways to Die in the West) and Nicholas Hoult ( X-Men: Future is Past), the face of the largely unknown Australian actor Hugh Keays-Byrne adorns the fourth character poster. If you look into his past, you will be surprised to find that he had portrayed none other than the sociopathic and sadistic Toecutter in Mad Max (1979), who, as the boss of a motorcycle gang, was responsible for the death of Max's wife and child!

Toecutter dies at the end of Mad Max by first colliding head-on with an oncoming truck and then being run over by the same. Here one could reply that film and television dead people like to and often return from the supposed afterlife. In «Mad Max: Fury Road», Hugh Keays-Byrne goes by the movie name Immortan Joe, and he's seen wearing a ventilator in Bane-like fashion on the poster. So it could very well be that Toecutter is back and has an ax to grind with Max...

There are four more posters after the jump!

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. However, you are welcome to simply copy and distribute the content, my blog has always been under the WTFPL license.

It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
