In "Into the Forest" hope and desolate emptiness are very close together. Hard Candy and An American Crime star Ellen Page (Juno, Inception) and Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler) must face the end of the world as we know it in the first trailer. Together they slip into the roles of Nell and Eva, who live with their parents in a small house on the edge of a forest near a small town. Both sisters have big plans. Nell would like to study and Eva would like to pursue a career as a dancer. But something in the world is changing. Electricity cuts out until it's completely gone, gas and groceries run out, newspapers run out and frightening rumors circulate. There is talk of war, epidemics, earthquakes and an explosion in a nuclear power plant. When finally, after the death of their mother, their father also dies in an accident, Nell and Eva remain alone and isolated. Only then do the young women gradually begin to understand that civilization has indeed collapsed, that the familiar world has been irretrievably lost and that their survival is the only thing that matters now. The Patricia Rozema film, based on Jean Hegland's novel of the same name, is expected in US&A theaters on July 28.
Wanna know how I got these scars? My father was... a drinker. And a fiend. And one night he goes off crazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself. He doesn't like that. distress. One. Bit. So, me watching, he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it. Turns to me and he says 'Why so serious?' Comes at me with the knife, 'Why so serious?' He sticks the blade in my mouth. ‹Let's put a smile on that face!› And… Why so serious?

It should be clear that running dravenstales.ch takes a lot of time and costs. To cover costs and maybe a free drink or two, I could plaster the whole place with advertising. But I like my readers, which is why I want to offer them a (largely) ad-free reading experience. If you like what's going on and/or what's going on on this website, then it would be nice if you somehow shared the fun here would support, Thank you!
