In practically every horror film there are moments when the protagonists make stupid decisions and "suddenly" find themselves in the greatest danger. They walk into a room without turning on the light, the group splits up even though staying together would be the better decision, or they go into a house that doesn't look particularly trustworthy from the outside. Luckily, director Joe Nicolosi and the PixelsPerSecond team took care of this stupidity and cobbled together a trailer for the hypothetical Hell No: The Sensible Horror Film that eliminates any wrong decisions. This trailer can be seen as the final exam for any horror movie character, as the stupidity is erased. The characters finally seem to have learned from the countless horror films, as they make smart and wise decisions. The authoritarian people in horror films are often even dumber, and so in this trailer the policeman immediately seals off the lake after the scientist has warned him about a beast in it. Whether this is realistic is another question, but that's not the point. The fact that this sympathetic idea could quickly become boring for the length of a film is made clear by the short trailer, because if all characters always make the right decisions, they all survive in the end and the tension falls by the wayside...
The shortest path is not as straight as possible,
but the one
in which the favorable winds swell our sails;
so says the doctrine of navigators.
