Rumors of a possible Guns N' Roses reunion have been circulating for some time. But now it's getting more specific. According to information from the US industry magazine "Billboard", Axl Rose and Slash are again planning joint concerts with the original cast. They are scheduled to headline the 2016 Coachella Festival and will make their first appearance together in 6 years on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 2016, 22.
According to the journalist Mitch Lafon Guns N' Roses' first reunion appearance will be on January 6, 2016 on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show. It's not yet known if the guys will pick up their instruments and blast away, but Guns N' Roses fans should mark the date in their calendars. Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan have definitely confirmed the reunion, Izzy Stradlin, Steven Adler and Matt Sorum have not yet been heard of, but it can be assumed that the three of them will also be there. After years of disputes, it has finally been possible to put the disputes to rest. Guitarist/drummer Dave Navarro (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction)'s reaction to the Guns N' Roses news is amusing as he compares it to the Star Wars franchise:
The GnR rumors are legitimately exciting! Here's hoping for an #Abrams vibe and not a #prequel vibe! #GunsNRoses

The band is also said to have 25 more stadium shows across North America planned for the summer, including a concert at the new Las Vegas Arena, which opens in early April 2016. The final joint appearance was more than 22 years ago. On July 17, 1993, Axl Rose and Saul "Slash" Hudson performed together as Guns N' Roses in Buenos Aires for the last time. After that, they only met for legal arguments, arguing about royalties and naming rights. A formation called Guns N' Roses has been active again since 2006, but only singer Rose was there as an original member on the last tours. According to “Billboard” information, the band is asking for three million dollars (2,7 million euros) per performance, so the ticket prices for the respective shows should be between 250 and 275 dollars (228 and 251 euros) …
What else comes to mind on this subject: A few months ago Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor announced that he would stop touring in the event of a Guns N 'Roses reunion in the original lineup. It remains to be seen whether Mr. Taylor will implement this announcement should Axel Rose and Co really hit the stage together again.
