The first season of "Fear The Walking Dead" is actually coming to an end. How will things continue in the upcoming 5th and penultimate episode? In the following «Cobalt» promo and sneak peek videos, we learn a little more about what's really going on at the hospital and what the military is really up to.
Towards the end of the first season of «Fear The Walking Dead» it seems that times are getting much tougher in LA. In the last episode "Not Fade Away" we got the feeling that the military is not exactly kind to the residents in the security zone. The tap water now has to be boiled, electricity is only available at certain times of the day and the medical care is, shall we say, rather suboptimal. Liza, Travis' ex-wife, is doing what she can to help the sick, even though she hasn't even finished her nursing degree yet. However, everything changes when Dr. Exner (Sandrine Holt) shows up. Under the pretext of taking the sick people to a hospital, they are "taken away" one after the other. Daniel wants to accompany his wife Griselda, who injured her ankle badly in the third episode, but this wish is denied. Everyone fears the worst. What are you going to do now? In the promo video for episode 3 "Cobalt" we get some hints.
"That's how we'll get them home," Daniel Salazar tells us at the beginning of the video. Apparently, the two families have already hatched a plan to save their friends. It should be clear that this is not possible without a great risk. Travis urges his son Chris to be strong now. Shortly thereafter we see Travis in one of the military vehicles. Will he call in sick to get into this ominous "hospital" too? And where is Madison doing that again? She walks around alone in some dark basement, armed only with a flashlight. What is she looking for? A look at Liza and Dr. We can also catch a glimpse of Exner, they actually appear to be in something like a hospital, but it's not clear if they're really taking care of the injured or if they just want to examine the infected more closely.
Ofelia in particular seems to be very worried about her mother Griselda and even throws stones at the soldiers so that they can tell her where she is now and how she is doing. And you can certainly share these concerns, as we saw in the last episode that the soldiers not only shot transformed people, but that there were also some "healthy" corpses among the decomposing bodies on the street! It can therefore be assumed that Madison will no longer stand idly by and what is happening around her - and with her son - and Travis, after his "rays of hope" on the roof, should hopefully finally understand that the arrival of the military is everything else than the hoped-for salvation. The official synopsis for episode 5 states: «The National Guard's plan for the neighborhood is revealed; Travis and Madison make a difficult decision." ("The National Guard plan for the residential area is revealed, Travis and Madison face a difficult decision.")
What could this military plan be in? For example, in immediately shooting everyone who is only slightly injured or sick? Or should the residents possibly all be housed in one central location where they can be better controlled? One thing is for sure: As long as Nick and Griselda are in the hands of some doctors, Madison, Travis, Ofelia & Co. will hardly wait and twiddle their thumbs! We are excited to see what plan you will forge to bring your loved ones back to you ...
