At the end of this month there will finally be fresh meat again! We have waited a long time, now it will start soon and to shorten the time until then we have the first pictures of the young zombie generation.
“Fear The Walking Dead” starts on August 23, 2015 on the American channel AMC. The spin-off or companion series to the classic “The Walking Dead” will shed more light on the early days of the zombie apocalypse - a period of time that was completely left out in the parent series due to Rick's coma. The aim of the new series is to portray in the most realistic way possible how we would probably deal with it today if the world around us suddenly went out of control and friends, acquaintances and possibly even family members gradually got involved infected with a mysterious virus that turns them into dangerous monsters within a very short time.
One of the biggest differences between the two series is, as I said, the time period in which the action takes place. Of course, this also has a direct impact on the appearance of the walkers, as at the beginning of the virus outbreak they did not look nearly as rotten and disgusting as the ones we know from “The Walking Dead” today. Make-up genius Greg Nicotero, who is responsible for the look of the zombies in both series, revealed in an interview some time ago that the walkers in Fear and in TWD will be significantly different from each other - we can now see the result following pictures. The first two pictures belong to episode 1 and appear to be from the house where Madison's son Nick (Frank Dillane) lives. in the first teaser wakes up to “Fear The Walking Dead” and then runs headlong into the streets. The first photo shows a girl named Gloria (played by Lexi Johnson) leaning over a dead man who she seems to be making a feast of. The second picture also shows Gloria, who is now standing in front of the man's corpse, as if she were thinking about throwing herself at the person who was standing in front of her at that moment.
The third picture, which apparently comes from episode 3, shows a man with completely fresh blood on his face, as if he had just been bitten. Overall, it is noticeable that the zombies in the pictures have completely milky eyes and the areas of skin that have not yet been damaged by any injury, bite, etc. still look like normal (healthy) human skin. This not only makes the walkers, if you will, "prettier" than the ones we know from TWD, but also all the more dangerous, as the people who encounter them may not be able to tell at first glance whether they are this person is already undead! It will certainly be exciting to see how these “fresh” zombies will behave in the series, i.e. whether they will move even faster than the half-rotten figures that shuffle around at Rick & Co.'s.
