A picture of US President Richard Nixon and music legend Elvis Presley together is one of the most famous photographs in US history. In the first trailer for "Elvis & Nixon" this is the starting point for a satire. Director Liza Johnson tells the maybe not entirely true, but certainly pretty wacky story behind the famous photo. Their satire stars Kevin Spacey as US President Richard Nixon and Michael Shannon as Elvis Presley, who want to profit from each other. While the president is hoping for a boost in popularity, the musician believes he can finally fulfill his dream of being a secret agent. Incidentally, the rights to "Elvis & Nixon" have been acquired by Amazon, which will publish the film via its instant video service. At least in the US&A, a theatrical release is planned beforehand. Whether the comedy will also come to our cinemas is uncertain...
