“The Little Doctor” is the film adaptation of the children's book series of the same name by Dietrich Grönemeyer. In addition to the first trailer, there is also a longer clip with two longer scenes. Unfortunately, the project has a limited budget, tight deadlines and overloaded ambitions. German production from the house Miracle work is directed by Peter Claridge. He was particularly present with works for television, such as episodes for “Aktenzeichen XY unsolved” or “HeliCops”. With “The Little Physician” he makes his cinema and animated film debut. The entire production of the film was carried out by the Würzburg animation studio Virgin Lands (which was also involved in “The 7 Dwarf”) and was written and produced entirely in English. “The Little Doctor” will be in cinemas on October 30th.
Twelve-year-old Nano witnesses a sinister act: the nasty Professor Schlotter injects his grandfather with the Gobot, a tiny robot, in order to be able to control his victim remotely. Nano wants help from Dr. Get X, his family's doctor. But also in the practice of Dr. X, incredible things are happening: Together with Micro Minitec, a brilliant scientist, the doctor has developed a microtization process with which he shrinks a submarine and sends it on a medical journey of discovery through the human body.
Together with his girlfriend Lilly, Nano has himself reduced in size and embarks on the risky journey into his grandfather's body to defeat the Gobot. But Professor Schlotter and his assistant Serge don't give up so easily. They storm Dr. X's practice and bring the scientists under their control. Now Nano and Lilly are on their own inside Nano's grandpa's body. There they not only have to compete against the Gobot, but also have to survive dangerous killer cells, the corrosive stomach acid and the confusing labyrinth of the brain. And time is of the essence because the oxygen in the submarine is limited. It's just a good thing that there is the talking pink guinea pig Rappel, who still has a score to settle with Professor Schlotter...
