Tobe Hooper's "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and Wes Craven's "Hill of Bloody Eyes" are prime examples of the so-called backwood genre, which is still very popular today. Young filmmaker Mickey Keating (Ritual), whose dusty, playful backcountry thriller “Carnage Park” was recently shown at the Fantasy Filmfest, was also obviously inspired by the old masters. The film already had a limited theatrical release in the US&A in the summer and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD shortly after Halloween, to be precise on November 1, 2016. It is not yet certain when we will be able to enjoy the terror strip in this country...
Man has three ways of acting wisely: first, through reflection, that is the noblest, second, through imitation, that is the easiest, and third, through experience, that is the bitterest.

It should be clear that running dravenstales.ch takes a lot of time and costs. To cover costs and maybe a free drink or two, I could plaster the whole place with advertising. But I like my readers, which is why I want to offer them a (largely) ad-free reading experience. If you like what's going on and/or what's going on on this website, then it would be nice if you somehow shared the fun here would support, Thank you!
