For fans of well-kept auto tuning, there will be a real treat on Sunday, June 20, 2010 from 10:00 on the National Sports Center area in Huttwil: The 6th Nippon Tuning Meeting, with Nippon Young and Oldtimer! In addition to the well-kept cars from Asia, there is a festival restaurant, a DJ who provides good music, and various stands Exhibiting companies, as well as a racing simulator as a special attraction, which invites you to appropriate training.
When the first Nippon Tuning meeting was held in Zuchwil in 2005, nobody thought that it would be such a great success and that more space would be needed at the Huttwil sports center as early as 2007. Cars from the manufacturers Toyota, Nissan / Datsun, Mazda, Subaru, Suzuki, Daihatsu and Isuzu have always been there, as well as exotic cars from Infiniti to Lexus. They were all partially equipped with tuning parts from Nismo, Blitzen, Rally Art, Subaru Technica International, Prodrive, Chargespeed, Zero Sport, Veilside, HKS, Blitz or other brands. Over the years, these cars made the meeting more and more a respectable occasion.
The 5th Nippon Tuning Meeting of Nippon Car Club Mittelland took place on May 24th, 2009 after a preparation period of over seven months and when the meeting opened the gates filled steadily and quickly, until finally 213 vehicles wanted to be rated. As a special attraction, the three Miss Tuning 2009 were on the square and were photographed together with the visitors. The expert jury evaluated the exhibited cars until the early afternoon in order to reward the most beautiful and best tuned cars with trophies towards evening. The event attracted international attention, and Regiolive.ch and PartyGuide.ch illustrated and commented on the meeting. For the latter, the rating was 91% very good!
Since laws have been passed in recent years that have made tuning cars much more difficult and above all more expensive, this year the meeting will be extended to young and oldtimers, so that something can certainly be offered for all visitors. Who knows, maybe a Nissan Skyline GTR R34 Nismo or another Nissan GTT R34 will be able to take the place?
If one or the other inclined reader feels the urge to have his car awarded, he can do this for a registration fee of CHF 20 and thus automatically takes part in the audience evaluation and has the opportunity to speak in front of the jury to compete. Currently there is a raffle instead, where the winner can exhibit his Japanese-made car at the Nippon tuning meeting for free. Good luck!
