Starz has released a brand new trailer and poster for the third season of «Ash vs. Evil Dead». The season premiere of the horror comedy series is in the US&A on Sunday, February 3 at 25 p.m., whether Amazon Prime will air the series a day later as in the past is yet to be determined.
In the series, Bruce Campbell plays Ash Williams, the chainsaw-wielding anti-hero tasked with saving the world from evil. Lucy Lawless (Xena) plays Ruby, the unpredictable enemy and occasional ally who has strong ties to the origins of the Necronomicon, Ray Santiago plays Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash's loyal sidekick and perpetual optimist, and Dana DeLorenzo returns as Kelly Maxwell , ready to kick the bad ass of Deadites. In «Ash vs. Evil Dead» Season 3, Ash reunites with his long-lost daughter, Brandy Barr, played by newcomer Arielle Carver-O'Neill (House Husbands, Suburbs, Conspiracy 365). Ash's father Brock (Lee Majors) and sidekick (Ted Raimi) may have died but may return in their undead forms. The original filmmakers of The Evil Dead, Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell, are executive producing season three, along with Ivan Raimi and Rick Jacobson. Mark Verheiden (producer of «Daredevil») serves as showrunner with producer Moira Grant. Producer Rob Tapert wants to take a slightly more dramatic approach.
In season 3, Ash's reputation changed completely in his small hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan - from a murderous urban legend, he has become a celebrated hero. But then Kelly learns of a massacre in Ruby's handwriting. Kelly returns with a new friend and warns Ash and Pablo that evil is not yet over. Blood is thicker than water in the battle between the good guys and the deadites.
