The "biggest rock'n'roll band in the world" releases their ninth studio album and returns furiously to their own punk rock roots! The Supersuckers present themselves as a perfectly oiled rock'n'roll machine in top form and one thing is certain: the thirteen new songs will soon be among the great classics of the Supersuckers band history. Because "Get The Hell" is a single concentrated sound wave attack, consisting of rude riffs, harmonic hooks and thick Rock'n'Roll with even bigger balls. Rock reigns supreme here and Eddie Spaghetti and friends rock their way through a mighty, catchy album. You just have to like Supersuckers and their new album "Get The Hell" because otherwise you don't like Rock'n'Roll!
The disc was recorded at Willie Nelson's famed Arlyn Studio in Austin, Texas and mixed by Dwarves frontman Blag Dahlia and sound wizard Andy Carpenter. The album shows a band at the height of their creativity - with anthemic refrains and chord progressions that are absolutely suitable for headbanging. After a short intro, the straight rocker "Get The Hell" unequivocally sets the general direction. The band uses every spark of their many years of experience and offer a comprehensive cross-section through the history of American rock music. The band follows a simple formula and combines rocking riffs, catchy melodies and catchy refrains with a pinch of punk and hits the mark with every song.

The other songs on »Get The Hell« tell tales of romantic debauchery («High Tonight»), excesses of biblical proportions («Gluttonous»), spiteful obsession («Something About You») and the suffering of a complete loser («Fuck Up »). And since the Supersuckers are never above playing a completely unexpected cover song, they demonstrate their musical class by duly performing the tracks "Rock On" by Gary Glitter and "Never Let Me Down Again" by Depeche Mode through the meat grinder. Since their 1992 debut, the Supersuckers have toured almost continuously, sharing the stage with such illustrious peers as Social Distortion, Bad Religion, The Ramones, Motörhead, Flogging Molly, The Butthole Surfers, Reverend Horton Heat, The New York Dolls, shared the Dwarves, White Zombie or Nashville Pussy.
If you're looking for an uncomplicated rock'n'roll full service that's just a lot of fun and deals with the essential topics such as women, alcohol and partying, you have to go here. It can be that simple and straightforward – whether it's the social distortion-heavy "Pushin' Thru" or the dry boogie groove of "Bein' Bad". Pure Rock'n'Roll hisses through the auditory canals and claws into it. Eddie Spaghetti hasn't had to be anyone's boyfriend for a long time — and I doubt it ever has. The Supersuckers are still explicit even after a quarter of a century and launch a poetic offensive between boldly casual suggestiveness, dark flashing sunglasses, middle finger with brass knuckles and illegal substance that has washed up but is so dirty that people under the age of 21 and under 23 clock should refrain from consumption. In addition to the aforementioned «Pushin' Thru», the catchy «Something About You» and «High Tonight» are the most impressive on «Get The Hell». The coolness drips ice-cold from every groove on this disc and you constantly see tattooed guys under the dusty sun on the edge of the desert in your inner eye. You don't even need the harmonica, as used in "Fuck Up".

Released in January 2014, "Get The Hell" is the first studio album after a five-year hiatus. A total of 13 tracks in a good 35 minutes, that says a lot about where the cadence lies, that these are short - but heavy - numbers. There's no room for fabric softening and ballad babble. You can safely leave the women at home, men. And order a taxi as a preventive measure, with the sound both beer and whiskey go down your throat unhindered and softly. The instrumentation is classic, two guitars, bass, drums and lots of polyphonic vocals. Of course, I personally like the dirt in the story, whimpering guitar riffs, classic distortion effects, all songs seem as if they were written exclusively for live performance. CD or vinyl almost as a by-product. The Supersuckers are not just a band, they are a rock 'n' roll institution and rightly call themselves "The Greatest Rock n Roll Band In The World".
