«Peter Pan speed rock"Yes, they still exist! And there is a new album too! The Eindhoven hardcore speed punk rockers hit the inclined listener with the new album «Buckle Up And Shove It!» a loud, violent, brute and once again fast and entertaining piece of music around your ears. It's sweaty, hot, loud, dirty, and the opener really clears up the speed rock friend's dried-up ear canals. They race through their tracks like a V8 engine, with the right attitude and «Motörhead» send their regards. With their ninth studio album, they continue in the usual way and beat their way through a lot of full-throttle rockers. The rioters with the quick name are back!
Holland's Speedrock Kings are picking up speed again. Full Pot In Your Face. Impetuous and wild, they loosely shoot from the hips. Honest and genuine, that's what the guys have stood for for 18 years and prove it again on the latest round. Hard pumping bass, drums that rush forward and guitar work that goes off mercilessly and rushes into your ears. The album is full of fat guitar riffs and solos. Up tempo dirty rock n roll. After the album «We Want Blood!», which was released four years ago, Peter, Bartman and Bart have recorded a thematically mixed album with 13 tracks. You are grabbed by the forelock and really shaken up, your feet automatically start to twitch.
With the opener "Get You High" it gets hearty and fast into the crowd. A brilliant opener and the gentlemen step on the gas pedal with a lot of enthusiasm. The other shout-along numbers also move between medium-tempo hard rock, dirty rock'n'roll and fast, impetuous punk. The pieces, if you permit me to use this expression in connection with «Peter Pan speed rock«, are almost epic. Peter in particular plays much longer guitar solos, there is a little more melody in the songs and the pieces are not that short anymore, because the three-minute mark is exceeded more often. And again and again Motörhead shines through. Thirteen new and great tracks, all hit the mark except for «Note To Self», which for me is the weakest song on this album. Mangy rumble kickass rock'n'roll in the style of "Nashville Pussy", "Turbonegro", "Motörhead" and "Chrome Division". When I imagine the songs live, I have the image of a bulldozer leveling everything in my mind. In the meantime they have taken the production into their own hands and recorded the ninth disc in their own studio. Peter roars like never before, bass and drums complete the speed rock orgy.
There are two cover songs on board, "New Rose" pays homage to The Damned and "Heart Full Of Soul" is an old Yardbirds pearl, which gets a very special touch through the guest vocals of Spark Retard (Demented Are Go) - let's see Greetings to Lemmy again! When listening to this album, the young fan inevitably picks up the air guitar and rocks out in front of his native speakers, while the slightly older listener cannot move from his chair because he was immediately surrounded by the imaginary drum kit. «Buckle Up And Shove It!» hits the XNUMX and brings a lot of freshness and variation with it. Just great, what kind of steam «Peter Pan Speedrock» let off with their musical instruments. This proves again that you don't need more than three players to catapult a good album into orbit. I can recommend the whole tracklist as a guide! There are practically no hangers and certainly no ballads - nobody wants it anyway. The sound is super successful without neglecting the punk character. A clear buy tip, here you can really feel the joy of playing the Dutch rock'n'roll triumvirate. But let the red wine buddel and get at least a six-pack. Speed up!
