For all those of you who liked the old «The Haunted» and mourn songs like «99» we have «Fateful Finality» just right! The new album "Battery" sounds like the band mentioned at the beginning could sound like today. Catchy and aggressive Thrash Metal escapades, coherent refrains, lots of melody and variety. «Battery» has become a rock-solid and well-rounded thrash metal album that fulfills almost everything one could hope for from such a work.

Fateful Finality - Battery

Three years after their decent debut album «King Of Torture» we present ourselves Fateful Finality an impeccable selection of eleven gems from the sharpening forge, preheated from Machine Head to Testament. The guitarists share the vocals, so it's nicely varied. The energy level is constantly on the attack and the musicianship is beyond any doubt. With their second album «Battery», the southern German thrash metallers impressively prove that their reputation as one of the most promising new German metal bands rightly precedes them. As winners of the Wacken Metal Battle Germany 2012, the four band members took advantage of the moment and continued to mature. The eleven songs on the new disc are not only a lot heavier and more uncompromising, but also more versatile and profound. However, this astonishing further development is no coincidence. Close friends since kindergarten, Simon Schwarzer (guitar, vocals), Patrick Prochiner (guitar, vocals) and Philipp Mürder (bass) founded the band together with drummer Mischa Wittek in 2007 and have been pulling in the same direction with undiminished energy ever since.

Right from the start, one of the group's most striking strengths is the different vocal styles: Simon Schwarzer takes on the rough vocals, while Patrick Prochiner stands for the clean vocals and thus provides a sophisticated counterpoint. Many of the songs on Fateful Finality live from this deliberately chosen friction, which artistically can best be described as a sovereign mixture of the sound worlds of bands like Machine Head, Exodus, Lamb Of God, Testament or Trivium. Riff-heavy, extremely powerful Thrash Metal, which comes along with songs like "Dirt In The Closet" or "Under Pressure" at times fast-paced or at times grooving like in "Remain In Mind". But Fateful Finality also has a surprisingly modern-sounding Nu Metal track with «Unchained» and the musicians are also able to convince lyrically. In «Facades», for example, the hypocrisy of merciless war scenarios is accused, when killings are apparently even carried out with worldwide legitimacy under the banner of white flags. In "Never There" the band asks itself whether one lives to work or works to live. The cover artwork for «Battery» also fits in with this, which obviously raises the question of when the human battery will finally be drained.

Fateful Finality Band

What I'm missing is that certain something that makes the band stand out from the mass of good bands, but I think there's still room for improvement. The stylistic orientation of their music is unmistakable, but the great independence and compositional cleverness are amazing for such a young band. They quote Bay Area Thrash, but are actually much closer to bands like Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Trivium or The Haunted. What I'm missing on "Battery" are the right highlights. If there had been a hit on the album, I'm sure it would have gotten a few more points. But I think we will surely hear more from this promising young Thrash Metal band in the future. Without a doubt, Fateful Finality have the energy and the musical quality to establish themselves internationally. You won't win an originality award here, the ingredients are all too familiar for that, which isn't a bad thing, because the mix fits very well. For everyone who likes Thrash, it's definitely the case that you should listen here.

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
