With this band name one expects punk rock, but the four LÄRMenden men from northern Germany don't want to be pigeonholed, but rather have made it their task to make every amplifier glow. At "Noise Atron» is set in German and as a style brew almost equal parts hard rock, heavy metal, as well as a good portion of snot and punk rock are used. «Lärmatron» step on the gas and after four years and a few line-up changes after the EP «Ab durch die Mitte», the first album is coming out in 2014. A strong disc, on which the guys from Oldenburg let the guitars smoke and really blast away.
The North Germans live up to their name. If the word "noise" usually has negative connotations, in this case it refers more to unbridled power and rock to the hilt. Fat guitars and Pat's powerful vocals really get going and come across as refreshing. "Lärmatron" may not have reinvented the wheel, but you don't always have to search desperately for that. The guys got together at the end of 2007 in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, and just two years later the quartet released their first EP «Ab durch die Mitte». Now there is a new album by the troupe with “The Me Show”. Musically well-rehearsed, hard beats and skillful guitar riffs dominate the overall picture without undermining the vocals. Unusual for this type of music are the clean and clear vocals, no grunts or screams, almost a little too nice, but only almost. The longer the CD runs, the more one finds oneself in the style of the four boys.
A number of bands have proven over time that hard rock and metal can work with German-language lyrics, but it can still take a while before you get used to "The Me Show" and can start enjoying the disc. The energy level is consistently high and the craftsmanship of the instruments is given. «Lärmatron» will be able to provide a lot of fun, especially live, and this disc doesn't fail to have an effect on audio, on the contrary. The title "The Me Show" was chosen because it stands for a standpoint against the disadvantages of a digital world and for the advantages of the analogue world. The song of the same name deals with the topic of the daily "show" that jumps out at us on social networks. A show that has a lot of losers that haven't existed before. But it is also a show by those who were there before and who, despite all the facade, will ultimately not succeed in suddenly being winners. The opposite is the case: they lose themselves in a virtual world in which they are important, in which they are popular, and in doing so they miss real life. When writing this song, Pat had a very specific person in mind - that is, a real person who does in fact exist (much exaggerated in the song) in real life.
"The Me Show" is neither egocentric, narcissistic or even self-portrayal, but has a completely different background. The "Lärmatron" singer also finds inspiration for his lyrics in everyday life: "The songs are always based on personal experiences, impressions and feelings and are mixed with dreams, wishful thinking, imagination and fantasy. Coupled with catchy melodies and powerful sounds, they become the stuff rock music is made of." No, taking a break or taking a deep breath is not necessarily what “Lärmatron” is all about. It's uncompromisingly straight forward and full throttle directly onto the eardrum! "Puls" is a song about the famous "falling guy" Richard Drew, who committed suicide in the burning World Trade Center. It's a song that grew out of guitarist Andie's guitar crap and Pat wrote the lyrics to Andie's ideas. «Hair in the mouth» is a relatively dark ballad based on a true story. «Lärmatron» also seamlessly manage the change between quiet passages and the distorted guitars.
With «Die Ich-Show», Lärmatron delivered a strong record. I can't tell how far the band can set themselves apart from other, comparable bands, but the almost hour of music is really fun. The quartet from the Oldenburg area lets it really rock and every song is worth listening to! The bottom line is that it's more of a disc for friends of punk rock metal than for die-hard metalheads. The cover of the album is extremely successful and the booklet also contains all the lyrics. Testing should be obligatory for every friend of harder German rock and if mere words don't convince you, you have the opportunity to listen to the album here.

Live the band Lärmatron is a hit!
Rarely have I had so much fun with a live band that I didn't know before. Have both CDs at home and can only recommend them! Great vocals, great guitars! The Toten Hosen can retire: here are the successors ...
Hi,
just discovered the review and completely share the opinion of the author. A really well done record. Unfortunately, I first got the taste to experience this band live - but let me say: The show was really fun, very powerful and great songs. A great performance by the guys and always a suitable saying in stock.
I can only recommend you: Take a look at one of the boys' performances and be sure to get this record - you will definitely not be disappointed.
